Here at JTV we are constantly trying to test ourselves and this was fully put to the test when a giant flat packed Ikea chest of drawers arrived at JTV towers with a deadline of only a few hours to get it built! Our TV stand flat packing expertise were called into the fray and eventually the boys triumphed with a great new chest of drawers for the bosses office!

Here at Just TV Stands we always keep an eye out for celebrities however the closest we seem to get are some great name-a-likes. Our top three were orders for TV stands from: Michael Caine ("your only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!"), Gordon Ramsay ("F*%* *!$*") and Nuno Gomez (Never really says anything). We will continue to keep an eye out for JTV name-a-likes and keep you updated!

A few months ago the VAT was reduced to give us all a bit more money in our pocket to spend on important things like TV Stands.. However as the saying states "what goes down must go up..." and on Jan 1st 2010 VAT will be increased to the previous level of 17.5%. In other words, to save some money, order your TV stand today and beat the VAT man.

Here at Just TV Stands we would like to say huge congratulations to the new Formula One world champion Jenson Button. He drove with true skill and sportsmanship and really showed his racing character particularly in the tough second half of the season. Charlie, our current head of Customer Services here at JTV, is leaving to be a corporate accountant. We've told him there'll be no relaxed, fun office, wearing jeans or Friday lunchtime pizza but he's still determined to go. He's training up Charlie Coggans, a Leeds University graduate, to replace him. We're sure the new Charlie will continue on with the original Charlie's fantastic and friendly customer service. He's looking forward to taking your orders and helping you with any enquiries you might have.

We didn't think our prices could get much lower but we've surprised ourselves with this latest offer. Having recently attended the Royal Television Society Yorkshire Centre annual awards JTV would like to congratulate all the winners on the evening hosted by Yorkshire favourite Barry Cryer. Notable winners were those associated with the hit television drama, Unforgiven as well as Leeds-based True North Productions. Recognising his long career as crime reporter, the BBC’s John Cunday was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award.

We all went to Viva Cuba in Leeds for tapas and lots of wine. Some of the more hardcore Just TV Stands team were out until gone 4am but you'll be glad to know they were still in the office, bright eyed and bushy tailed at 9am. The rest of us don't know how they do it.
This month the award goes to Heather Booth who helped a customer put together their Origin S4 TV stand by talking them through the simple steps on the phone while building a stand herself! Unfortunately for us, Heather is leaving to go travelling the world next week. We hope she has an amazing time and we can't wait to hear all about her travels. We're all very jealous and look forward to the postcards!

This month is quite unusual as the Employee of the Month award is going to one of our four legged team members. It's a landslide victory for Molly the puppy who took more than 90% of the vote for her overwhelming efforts at cheering everyone up during the run up to Christmas. We've never been busier at JustTVstands.co.uk and of course we all had our own Christmas preparations to take care of. Well done Molly for keeping us all smiling.

This year we took to the slopes at Xscape in Castleford, near Leeds. Fortunately there were no broken bones so we were still able to pack up your TV stands and get them out during the rush before Christmas.
Freak snow hit Yorkshire overnight, which has meant a lot of the Just TV Stands team haven't been able to make it into our office in Yeadon, near Leeds. Fortunately, there are a few of us that live locally so we're able to keep the television stands going out (in between building snowmen!) This means that if you have placed an order for an Origin, Ateca or GT TV stand today, chances are it'll still get to you tomorrow. However, it's worth giving us a call just to make sure as the weather has made North Yorkshire and beyond inaccessible, despite our couriers' best efforts.
This month it goes to Chris Greenop who has been doing a cracking job in customer services. He's been dealing with all sorts of weird and wonderful enquiries, none of which have been too much trouble. This is why one of our customers has told us that "some of the other online retailers could learn a thing or two from Just TV Stands about customer service". Obviously, we're delighted to receive such great praise and it's all down to Chris.
We've applied the VAT reduction already so all our prices now reflect the new 15% VAT rate. That means you'll be able to benefit from lower prices this weekend - two days before the rate is in official effect.

Big well done to Ashley and Richard who completed the New York Marathon today. We're all in awe and as you raised more than £3,000 for The British Red Cross you're now forgiven for leaving sweaty running kit around the office during all those months of training.
